How do our Warranties work? All Amundson products have Warranties – coverage varies depending on the MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) of each product. Please refer to our online catalogue for MSRP’s. Only consumers purchasing Amundson products from our authorized dealers may obtain coverage under our warranties. Original proof of purchase is required.
Consumer warranty does not include commercial-use. Please see *Commercial Warranty guidelines below.
Unconditional Warranty: Our “No-Fault” protection policy – we will cover the replacement/repair of your product at no charge within the specified period. Our unconditional warranty periods vary from 30-days to 5-years. Warranty does not cover aesthetic or cosmetic damage, which does not effect function. Shipping costs apply.
Extended Warranty: Our Extended Warranty begins the first day after the Unconditional Warranty expires. The Extended Warranty covers repair/replacement of your product at cost within the extended warranty period. This cost varies per product – please see below for the maximum replacement costs for Butt/Non-Butt sections. Replacement cost on parts for reels, accessories and apparel vary – please inquire for more information. Shipping costs apply – please see below.
**A new warranty is issued when a replacement part or product is purchased within the Extended Warranty period. The new warranty covers only the replaced part/product and will begin from the date of replacement.

From C$200 to C$299 – 1-year Unconditional Warranty; 3-Year Extended Warranty (Butt: C$70, Non-Butt: C$45)
From C$300 to C$499 – 3-year Unconditional Warranty; 5-Year Extended Warranty (Butt: C$90, Non-Butt: C$60)
Above C$500 – 5-year Unconditional Warranty; 10-Year Extended Warranty (Butt: C$175, Non-Butt: C$120)

30-day Unconditional Warranty on Lines, Headwear, Footwear, Storage Boxes, Knives, Pliers, Tools, Bags, Rod Holders, Lures, Nets, Giftware.
All Opticam products come with a 1-year Limited Warranty on manufacturer defects. This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use, care, accidents or the natural breakdown of materials over extended time and use. Shipping costs apply. Proof of purchase is required.
All Innova Products come with a 30-day Limited Warranty for manufacturer defects only. This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use, care, accidents or the natural breakdown of materials over extended time and use. Shipping costs apply. Proof of purchase is required.
Fit-Over Sunglasses and Brim Hats:
All Laredo Fit-Over Sunglasses and Brim Hats come with a 30-day Limited Warranty for manufacturer defects only. This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use, care, accidents or the natural breakdown of materials over extended time and use. Shipping costs apply. Proof of purchase is required.
6-month Limited Warranty for the battery
1-year Limited Warranty for everything else in the package.
The SOLARFuel warranty does not apply to any product that is misused, abused, modified, damaged by accident, or used for anything other than normal consumer use as authorized in SOLARFuel then-current product literature. Proof of purchased is required.
What do you have to do? The process to use your warranty is very simple; you just have to follow these steps:
1. Fill out the Warranty Form telling us who you are, where do you live, where did you buy your product and the product name/number; and then print.
2. Send the product back to us with a proof of purchase and the printed form. Purchasers are responsible for shipping warranty products to Amundson. Check our Specific shipping section below before sending the product. Our shipping address is:

Additional Shipping Guidelines
A. For replacing rod sections, customers simply need to send us about 15 cm of the female end of the broken section in a small envelope. Please send 15 cm of the male end when necessary, such as replacing a butt section. This is for us to match up the color and diameter to give you a good-fit replacement. Please remember to include the Warranty Form.
B. For reel replacements, customers need to send back the whole reel to the Amundson office. Please remember to include the Warranty Form. If you know the parts that can fix your reel, email or call the Amundson office and let us know the parts you need with the appropriate part number. Then you don’t need to send the reel back to the Amundson office.
Within the Unconditional Warranty period – Customers are responsible for the costs of shipping products for Warranty to the Amundson office. Amundson will cover the costs of shipping product back to the customer.
Within the Extended or Limited Warranty periods - Customers are responsible for all costs of shipping products for Warranty to and from the Amundson office.
All fishing rods/reels used for business purposes, such as commercial fishing/use, guiding, charters, etc. includes a 60-Day Unconditional Warranty with a 1-Year Extended Warranty. Proof of purchase is required.
